From March 15 to April 13, SCAA hosted the annual Open Juried Photography exhibition. Juror Al Weems selected 71 works, including mine :) for this exhibition. According to Jason Fong, SCAA’s director of exhibitions, the intention of this exhibition was to show the artworks in a traditional and experimental manner, with the exception of artificial intelligence-generated images. As a result, a lot of works has demonstrated a wide range of techniques and approaches. You can read more about the exhibition in the article “Camera Ready” published in “Hey Rhody”. And even though the opening was before the Super Bowl, the attendance was great. There were a lot of people, nice atmosphere and heated discussions about art :)  Many interesting works that can be seen until March 24.

I am pleased to say that my work “Ice Cube” has been accepted for the national jury exhibition “Width and Depth: Earth, Water, Air, Fire”. Juror Karen Drysdale Harris has selected artworks submitted by artists from 18 states.

The exhibition will be held at the Bristol Art Museum, located at 10 Wardwell Street, Bristol, RI.

The exhibition is open from February 4 to March 24, 2024.

The artists’ reception will take place on Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
